Seeing as most people have never heard of a Super Dollfie, I guess I should formally introduce what exactly that cute little thing in all my pictures is. Salim is Mini Super Dollfie Sakura Model. She is the newest size in the Volks Super Dollfie collection. She stands 16 inches tall, has 14 points of articulation, is elastic strung, and is composed of flesh toned cold cast resin. The doll is completely customizable and is rarely considered "finished" by owners. The eyes and wig are very simple to change, and many owners personalize the face and body makeup of their individual dolls. Salim came to me as a kit, meaning she was unstrung and unpainted. Although I was unsure how I would manage to sand, string, and paint such an expensive doll on my own, now I don't think I would have wanted her any other way. The kits allowed me to have lots of control. ^_^ Volks also has created the Standard Super Dollfies and the Super Dollfie 13s. Both of them are 22 inches tall, and of the same customizablilty and composition, but none of them are available as kits. There are both male and female dolls available in all models.
